About Aoi Kakita
Aoi Kakita was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan.
She is a Licensed Acupuncturist and a Pharmacist.
She has BA (pharmaceutical sciences) from Tokyo University of Science (1997),
and completion certificate from The Japan School of Acupuncture, Moxibustion
and Physiotherapy (2004). After working for Japanese herbal medicine company
for 9 years, and a major alternative medicine specialized clinic in Ginza
District for 2 years, she has opened her own clinic in Zushi, Kangawa 3
years ago. In 2008, she moved to Durham, North Carolina with her husband
who studied at Duke University Law School. There, she continued to pursue
her experience/eduacation in the field of alternative/traditional medicine,
completing a program at National Acupuncture Detoxification Association
in 2009. After settling in Kamakura in August 2009, she has opened Aoi
Acupuncture Clinic.
